Patti took part in the Purple Passion for Fashion 2 event
held at the Wherehouse in downtown Milwaukee

The afternoon included a fashion
show, silent auction, cash bar and food donated by Streetza
Pizza and Antigua.
The Fashion show was produced by Impeccable Image, LLC. Urban
Laundry, Ma Jolie, Luci, White Star and Shoo boutiques provided
the cutting-edge fashions for the models. Hair and makeup
provided by Kristen Lindemann and Joe Ignacio. Models include
men and women from all industries of Milwaukee's social media
scene and pancreatic cancer survivors.

How is Patti Genko like the
classic rock group the Zombies?
"She's Not There" either.
By day, Genko is an announcer on smooth jazz WJZX-FM (106.9).
But on weeknights between 9 p.m. and midnight, Genko is a
disembodied voice on WKLH-FM (96.5). Both stations are owned
by Saga Communications.
When Genko's afternoon shift at WJZX is over, she pre-records
her WKLH evening show, introducing songs from a playlist.
And a sound file of her commentary is merged digitally with
already recorded songs and commercials. By the time the show
ends, she's probably long been tucked into bed.
Outside of morning drive time, when stations generally use
local announcers, it is highly likely that the next voice
you hear on almost any radio station is not at the station
you are listening to, when you are listening to it. The process
is called "voice tracking" and usually features
announcers internally syndicated from one station to another
within the same company.
For instance, "Laura Steele" on Milwaukee's WQBW-FM
(97.3) - or the Brew - works out of a station in Indianapolis
(where her photo on that station's Web site reads "Go
Colts!"). Both stations are owned by Clear Channel Communications.
The reasons for doing this are, of course, economic. And while
industry insiders probably find it as shocking as learning
that there is gambling in Casablanca, listeners are likely
unaware of the extent to which it occurs.
But WKLH may be unique in using voice-track talent from its
own stations for local consumption.
Besides Genko, a former WKLH veteran, Steve Palec - a commercial
real estate broker at CB Richard Ellis, where he is senior
vice president - pre-records a two-hour show that airs from
7 to 9 p.m. weeknights.

PATTI GENKO FOLLOWS SMOOTH JAZZ TO 106.9FM. Veteran radio
talent Patti Genko has announced today that she will be joining
Smooth Jazz 106.9 as mid-day host and Operations Manager.
Ms. Genko joining the staff of Smooth Jazz 106.9 and the Milwaukee
Radio Group is also a homecoming of sorts. Ms. Genko performed
as an on-air talent for 18 years from 1987-2005 on WKLH 96.5FM,
also part of the Milwaukee Radio Group family of stations.
Tom Joerres, President/General Manager for the Milwaukee Radio
Group said, “We welcome the return of Patti Genko to
our radio group with open arms. Clearly with the history we
share plus her dedication and loyalty along with her recently
developed network and connection with the Smooth Jazz community

Patti Genko Communications has just signed a contract with
The Ambassador Hotel Milwaukee to revise a video that was
done in Spring of 2006. The video will showcase their new
chef, Spa and Fitness Center. Patti Genko Communications has
just completed an updated image video for the Ambassador Hotel
Milwaukee, 2308 W. Wisconsin Ave. The video was a follow up
to a project the company did for the Ambassador hotel in the
Spring of 2006. The hotel will use the video for trade shows,
to stream on their website, send out in sales kits, and attach
to their emails. The video showcases the hotels many amenities,
restaurant and lounge.
